Colorado , USA . Excessive consumption of soda is not good for health . This is the reason why manufacturers of soda diet sodas create variants to provide an alternative for those who do not want get overweight. But the question is, is it helpful?

Dr. Jim Hill of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center , University of Colorado and designed a study to find out the answer . 300 adult participants were included in this study and they split into two groups , the first group was asked to drink diet soda and the other only allowed to drink water . Each participant on average weighs about 91 kg at the beginning of the study.
